Wanna Buy Queen Elizabeth’s Gold-Plated Nintendo Wii?

Looking for something flashy for your video game shelf?  How about a gold-plated Nintendo Wii made for Queen Elizabeth II? Yes, it’s real – in 2009, a Wii console plated in 24-karat gold was delivered to the Queen as part of a publicity stunt.  While we don’t know if Her Majesty ever enjoyed a round of Wii Bowling, the console itself recently turned up on eBay – with a price tag of $300,000. The owner is video game collector   Donny Fillerup, says he’s “moving on with life” and wants to use the cash to buy a new house.  The story of how he came to own the golden console was told on the YouTube series People Make Games. What was your first video game console?
