Tom Petty Display Added To Country Music Hall Of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame is paying tribute to the late, great Tom Petty. The Hall has added a new display titled ‘Tom Petty: Where I Come From’, focusing on the singer’s southern roots and influence on modern country music. It includes one of Petty’s guitars, handwritten lyrics to the song “Southern Accents”, and the jacket he wore for the 1985 Live Aid concert. The display will remain up through summer 2025. Earlier this year, country stars like Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and Dolly Parton covered Petty songs for the tribute album Petty Country: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty. How many ‘Hall of Fame’ museums have you been to?  What gave Tom Petty such a broad appeal?
