Every Thursday, I’m going to throw it back with a classic country song.  Some may be old, some may be WAY old, but today, I start with Dwight Yoakam’s “Fast As You” from his 1993 album This Time.  “Fast As You,” a staple of Yoakam’s live shows, kicks off with an infectious guitar riff evoking memories of Roy Orbison’s “Oh, Pretty Woman.”  In the song, Dwight sings of having his heart broken and ponders that maybe someday, he will be the one to break hearts and be as “Fast As You.”

This is easily one of my favorite country songs of all time.
