Netflix Will Now Let Users Disable Its Autoplay Trailers
Do you hate how Netflix trailers automatically start playing when you scroll over them? Well, hate no more: The streaming platform announced Thursday that users will now be able to disable that feature if they so choose. “Some people find this feature helpful. Others not so much. We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear,” Netflix wrote on Twitter. “Members can now control whether or not they see autoplay previews on Netflix.” The company also retweeted a Twitter user who complained back on January 29, “My entire kingdom for a way to turn off the autoplay while browsing Netflix.” That user, Indiana-based writer Sarah Hollowell, reacted to the news by tweeting Thursday, “I can’t believe I, the one who defeated Netflix browsing autoplay, now have to go do my own dishes.”
