7 injured and 1 dead after a tour bus carrying Josh Turner’s band crew crashes into a river bed.

The tour bus was leaving a concert at Vina Robles Amphitheater Wednesday night when it crashed off of Highway 46 near Shandon while en route to Washington State. Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out but a truck driver who witnessed the accident said the bus left the road not using any brake lights. The driver of the tour bus left the road and drove 20 yards through vegetation until it launched off an 80 foot cliff before it hit the sandy riverbed below.

Two passengers of the bus were ejected from the bus, one was killed. Six passengers were being taken to local hospitals, one was flown to a trauma center in Northern California.

Turner and his band members were on a separate bus and not involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
