To be honest, I’m not the biggest horror fan.  Sure, I like the characters from some of the classics, Freddy, Jason, Chucky and so on, but I’ve never really sat down to watch any of the movies.  They were popular when I was a kid, and not allowed to watch them, and now, as an adult, I just don’t find myself drawn to the horror genre, EXCEPT for Stephen King stories.

Stephen King’s books are ALWAYS better than the movies, it’s just the way it is.  His short stories however have made some great non-horror movies.  Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are great examples of this.

So how do you make a 400+ page Stephen King book into a great movie?  Make two movies!

That’s exactly what happened a couple years ago when IT was released.  The movie only told the first half of the story, and this September, we finally get the second half, and wow, does it look creepy!

Are you excited for IT: Chapter 2, or is the clown a bit much for you?
