Florida Georgia Line Pitch Song Collaboration to Carrie Underwood on Instagram
Is another hit joint single “Meant to Be” for Florida Georgia Line?
The duo sure hopes so after they took to Instagram on Tuesday to pitch Carrie Underwood on a new song project. “We’ve got a PSA for y’all. It’s a public song announcement right here,” Tyler Hubbard says in the clip. “We’d really love for Carrie Underwood to hear this song. We think it’d be a massive collaboration. We’d love to send it to you. We don’t have your email or your phone number, so we’re just gonna play a little for you.” He and bandmate Brian Kelley add that they wrote the song last week with Julia Michaels before lip-syncing along to the track, which sounds like a breezy summer tune with lyrics like, “Yeah, it’s like heaven havin’ you to hold / My sweet iced tea, my little country gold.”
The two add at the end of the video, “Just call us! Let us know if you want it! We’re gonna send it to you.” FGL also tagged Underwood when they wrote alongside the clip, “@CarrieUnderwood, whether you know it or not, we are huge fans of you and we have always wanted to do a song with you. We’ve just been waiting on the right one…We think this is it.”
