Covid Forces Big Cancellations At New Orleans Jazz Fest

Country legend Willie Nelson was forced to cancel his performance at the New Orleans Jazz Fest on Sunday after a band member tested positive for Covid-19. Zac Brown Band stepped in to take Nelson’s place. Singer Melissa Etheridge canceled her scheduled performance at the festival as well on Saturday after members of her crew also tested positive for Covid. A week ago, at the start of the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Red Hot Chili Peppers replaced Foo Fighters who canceled all upcoming tour dates after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March.
