Captain Marvel Delivers Big Box Office Debut

Captain Marvel debuted at #1 at the box office this weekend, bringing in a massive $153 million domestically. Internationally, the film delivered an estimated $302 million, making it the fifth highest international opening weekend of all-time and the sixth largest worldwide debut ever. Meanwhile, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World landed in second place by adding $14.7 million and Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral finished in the #3 spot with $12 million. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Partclaimed fourth place with $3.8 million and Alita: Battle Angel rounded out the top five by adding $3.2 million.
