Bed Bath & Beyond Scaling Back on 20% Off Coupons

We’ve ALL gotten these in the mail over the years, but now Bed Bath & Beyond are looking to send out fewer 20% off coupons in the near future. Talking with investors, the company revealed that the coupons were seen as a way of having an “over-reliance on the coupon.” It was also explained that younger customers don’t use the coupons as often and that the coupon and many of their promotions were deemed “ineffective.” Even though the company plans to send less coupons out, there will still be some sent out on occasion.
