The news was spread via the singers booking company on facebook. McAlpin Entertainment posted a statement that read:
Completely heartbroken to learn of the passing of our friend Daryle Singletary this morning. He was one of the best men we’ve had the privilege to meet and work with in this business, both professionally and personally. Please keep Daryle’s wife, Holly and their four young children in your prayers.
Singletary was known for his hits “I ler her lie” and “Too much fun”. Details on the cause of death are still unclear. Our thoughts are with Daryl’s wife and children.
Tributes have begun pouring on the singers facebook page and on twitter.
Sad day…the greatest country voice of my time is now singing in Heaven’s band. Gonna miss you @Darylesing ! Now show them how a good ol country shuffle is supposed to sound! #darylesingletary pic.twitter.com/3mBhbdONIx

Rough morning for me. One of my favorite singers, Daryle Singletary, has passed away this morning unexpectedly. He’s the one who convinced me to move to Nashville. Praying hard for his family✝️Love you Daryle
